Hepatitis C and Cannabis

Hepatitis C is an inflammation of the liver caused by infection with the hepatitis C virus (HCV).
Current treatment for hepatitis C involves two powerful drugs, interferon and ribavirin, that have severe side effects, including fatigue, nausea, muscle aches, loss of appetite and depression. It is possible that cannabis has a positive biomedical effect however it is certain that cannabis helps patients by reducing the symptoms of the treatment.
